I can’t decide if this is a “shock” move or not. However, Supple has decided to retire from professional football and persue a different career.
North Stand to be renamed after Sir Bobby
The North Stand will now be known as the Sir Bobby Robson Stand.
Sir Bobby passes away
Sir Bobby passed away early this morning at his home.
A statement from his family read:
“It is with great sadness that it has been announced today that Sir Bobby Robson has lost his long and courageous battle with cancer.

Squad numbers are out
Yes, I relize I’ve not been posting much news lately and several friendlies have been played without comment. Sorry.
However, with squad numbers released, we are that much closer to the start of the new season…actually, less than two weeks.

Roy Keane has signed a new left-back, Damien Delaney, from QPR.
