It seems there’s a lot of change going on at Portman Road right now. The latest is that Greene King will no longer be available to those needing a pint at half-time. The good news is that you can now get a pint of Adnams.
Greene King, for their part, seem to be heading a different direction with their marketing money. But I could be reading too much into the comments. But still, it seems a bit odd if Greene King wasn’t able to out bid Adnams for the pouring rights at Portman Road.
Also, the Greene King Stand will be known as the South Stand until they find a new sponsor. Wish they’d just call it the Cobbold Stand but I don’t pay the bills.
Personally, I always preferred Adnams to Greene King so I’m looking forward to a pint next time I’m back there.
